Welcome
Upper Amman Valley

The Upper Amman Valley Communities First Partnership was formed in late 2002 with community representatives from six Steering Groups representing Cwmgors, Gwaun Cae Gurwen, Tai’rgwaith, Lower Brynaman, Upper Brynaman and the Llynfell sub-ward of Quarter Bach. The Partnership is unique, in that it is the only such body in Wales that spans a County boundary.

The initial work of the Partnership has involved extensive consultation with local communities to identify local needs and aspirations. A particular emphasis has arisen through these consultations on creating a better future for the young. This is crystalised in the following Vision Statement for the area :-

“To make the Upper Amman Valley an area where young people choose to live and where everybody has the opportunity to become involved in the community."
